Ahoy there land lovers and seafarers! This May, Belfast’s quaysides play host to a fleet of Tall Ships as part of the 2014 Belfast Titanic Maritime Festival. The festival, organised by Belfast City Council and supported by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and Belfast Harbour, takes place over the late May Bank Holiday weekend – 24 to 26 May at Titanic Quarter and Queen’s Quay.
So come along and get the kids’ day off to a swashbuckling start with pirate and kite making workshops, visit the Drawing Offices for interactive science experiments, demonstrations, games, or if you’re feeling more adventurous, try your hand at Zip lining, scale the walls of the famous Titanic’s Dock, try out the Segway assault course plus check out Freestyle BMX action with the RampRage Extreme Sports Crew. Journey down to Titanic’s Dock and Pump-House and check out Doodlebugs craft workshop, face painting, Highland dancing, live Ulster-Scots music and living history.
The Maritime Festival is a Belfast City Council event supported by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board, Belfast Harbour, and the Odyssey Trust, in partnership with Titanic Quarter and Titanic Foundation Ltd.
